Ecomusée des goémoniers et de l'algue (seaweed and seaweed ecomuseum)
Why take advantage?
At the tip of Finistère, you'll find Europe's largest seaweed fields. Used in the food industry, cosmetics, agriculture, health and biomaterials, seaweed is a part of our daily lives, revealing a wealth of future potential. Harvested for centuries by seaweed farmers, hand-picked and sometimes cultivated, discover the history of this astonishing plant from the sea. From April to October, the museum offers a wide range of activities for the whole family to discover seaweed: guided tours, seaweed discoveries on the foreshore, seaweed cooking workshops, creative seaweed workshops, company visits, seaweed diving, traditional navigation on a heritage seaweed sailboat, seaweed cooking courses with a chef...
