Ecuador, land of diversity

Why experience this event?

By Linda Paquette and Martin Parent. Documentary film, general public.
Bordered by the Pacific, crossed by the Andes and intersected by the equinoctial line, Ecuador is an exceptional land with one of the greatest biodiversities on the planet. Interspersed with this natural diversity is a significant cultural mosaic: descendants of Spanish and Amerindian ancestors, as well as 13 indigenous peoples. The identity of each of these groups is intimately linked to its territory. On the slopes of dormant volcanoes, in the heart of tropical forests, in coastal villages and in the streets of Quito, this film will take you on a journey through an overflowing natural world. It will also bring you face to face with a population determined to protect its traditions.
